DN6 (European road – E70), Bucharest – Alexandria – Craiova – Filiași crosses the Amaradia River at km 235+272, at the exit of Craiova, Dolj County. The project contracted together with the designer IPTANA S.A included large-scale hydrotechnical works on the Amaradia River, as well as the rehabilitation of the road bridge.

Complementary repair works were necessary on the infrastructure, repairs on the component elements at the intrados of the superstructure, installation of parapets and devices for covering the expansion joints. In addition, large-scale hydrotechnical works were carried out through the complete reconstruction of the bottom sill as well as major arrangements of the Amaradia riverbed.
