The modernization of the county road DJ 552 lot 1 involves both intervention works on existing constructions and new investment works. The works consisted of modernization, consolidation and rehabilitation of the county road and related engineering works.

Within the project, road works were executed on a length of 27.65 km, 17 culverts, 3 bridges, 28.78 km lined ditches, 10.56 km earth ditches, 49 side roads, of which 3 intersections with county roads, 4.31 km sidewalks, 4.32 km bicycle lanes, 6 bus stations, 3 parking areas and road safety works.

Among the 3 bridges of the project is the metal bridge over the Jiu River at Bucovăț which was consolidated by replacing important structural elements.
